Roland Burrow
Roland Burrow (b. 1981, St. Louis, Missouri) is a painter whose work reflects both historical and contemporary influences. Raised on the city’s North Side, he developed an early interest in drawing and later studied fine art at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. His paintings engage traditions associated with the European Renaissance and the Harlem Renaissance, particularly through a focus on figurative portraiture. Through this approach, Burrow creates images that convey dignity, presence, and a strong sense of individual experience.
