John White Allen Scott

He served his apprenticeship under the Boston lithographer, William S. Pendleton at the same time as Nathaniel Currier and spent his entire career in and around Boston. In the mid-1840's he was in partnership with Fitz Henry Lane. He exhibited at both the Boston Athenaeum and Boston Art Club and at his death, he was the oldest member of the Boston Art Club.
